The current government’s one of the most important agenda is to make India accessible and inclusive. If it’s serious about this, then waving off GST on assistive devices for people with disabilities is an important step it must undertake to win the confidence of people. Also, it just seems absurd that beauty products have been waived off from GST and sanitary pads and assistive devices for the ‘Divyang’ (as the government puts it) have not been considered.
