New Delhi: To report child sexual abuse online, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has further enhanced its online platform ‘POCSO e-box’.
As cyber-crimes targeting children increase, the e-box is now improved to handle cyber bullying, cyber stalking, morphing of images and child pornography.
“In India, about 134 million children have access to mobile phones. Lack of digital literacy and online safety measures expose children to hazards of cyber crime,” the Commission said.
Cases of child sexual abuse can be reported under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, by pressing the e-box button available at the commission’s website.
Other ways to report are on this email id: email@example.com or on the mobile number 9868235077.
The POCSO e-box was launched by Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi in 2016.
