Women Are ‘Seed Guardians’ In These Odisha Villages
Bhimdanga, an otherwise nondescript village in Odisha's Kalahandi district, has a special citation for its visitors. The entrance to the village has a board that reads "An Organic and Fairtrade Certified Village". 12 women in the village, called the 'seed guardians', are on a mission to protect and enhance their agriculture produce through organic farming.
